ABOUT BIKE TO THE BEACH

In 2015, Crossroads Continuum became a beneficiary of the annual Bike to the Beach fundraiser. Bike to the Beach is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cycling organization that promotes cycling for fun and fitness while seeking to raise money and awareness for autism. The 100-mile ride from Boston, MA to Newport, RI is meant to excite, inspire, and motivate our community to bike, challenge themselves, and impact their community by raising funds and awareness for autism. For less experienced riders, there are 25-mile and 60-mile options as well!

Many of our families, students, clients, and staff members support this event by signing up to ride, volunteering at a sponsored rest stop, and helping secure donations for Team Crossroads Continuum. Since the first year of our partnership, we have received more than $150,000 from Bike to the Beach!
This year, in 2022, our biggest team yet (20 people) rode 100 miles from Boston to Newport, RI, and raised over $54,000! In addition to riders, volunteers joined us at Rest Stop 1 in Walpole, including community members, students, parents, and staff to hand out fuel to the riders.

In 2021, our biggest team yet (19 people) rode 100 miles from Boston to Newport, RI, and raised nearly $50,000! Most notably, our Trustee, Albert Rex reached a huge milestone - raising $100,000 for Bike to the Beach since he first started riding in the event in 2013! In addition to riders, 20 volunteers joined us at the rest stop - including students, parents, and staff from Crossroads School!
