Her thesis research focused on the assessment and treatment of vocal and motor stereotypy with individuals diagnosed with autism. Rachel is currently completing her doctoral degree at Western New England University. Her dissertation research focuses on the assessment and remediation of overselective stimulus control in individuals with intellectual disabilities. Rachel became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2011. She has presented at both regional and international conferences and has published her research in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, American Journal of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and Research in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prior to coming to Crossroads, Rachel worked at the New England Center for Children, UMASS Medical School’s E.K. Shriver Center, and as a consultant for home-based services. She has over 10 years of experience working with children with autism from the ages of 4-22 in home, community, and school settings. Rachel’s current research and clinical interests are in the acquisition of communication and independent living skills.
